About

As a street photographer, I walk the streets searching those moments that explore the unexpected and the element of surprise that human experience constantly offers in an overfamiliar surroundings and that shape the rhythm of our experience. The main subject of my work  is the story of ordinary people set against the backdrop of diverse cultures and of my own and I try to highlights the twists and turns of life's journey. Familiar emotions, candid moments and quirk details that shape our identity and define who we are resonate with me either personally or culturally.

The line between street, portraiture and storytelling photography is often blurred as the result of a candid interaction with the people I meet. Vibrant colours inform my work, but they are used not only as a key aesthetic element but as a subject itself and as a storytelling tool to convey feelings and to fuel imagination.

I also work on personal projects taking a close look at several pressing social issues. From women’s struggles to claim and enjoy equal rights and opportunities to discrimination based on gender or race, from the self-perception of identity and belonging to the intricate relationship between humans and the  threatening environment.

Realities hidden within is my first book. With the introduction of the italian art critic Sandro Parmiggiani and published by Eyeshot, the book is about my long journey among people unveiling similarities and celebrating differences.
